16.05.2014 | Extension Hill Magnetite Project Activity Update May 2014

A delegation from the EHM Project team recently returned from Chongqing after presenting the outcome of the Project Enhancement Feasibility Study. The response from the shareholders, banks, suppliers and other interested parties was very positive.

The shareholders are currently reviewing the Study, project execution and contracting strategies in detail to determine the future steps for project delivery. The project management team is busy preparing the detailed FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) work and resource plans in preparation for the next stage of the EHMP as well as responding to shareholder, bank and study review consultant queries.

Contractors engaged to work on the Enhancement Feasibility Study have completed their assignment and the AIA’s in-house Project Team continues the project optimisation and assist banks in their review.

A recent diamond drilling program was conducted at Extension Hill by the AIA Exploration team with four diamond drill holes. The program was to confirm previous test work results which indicated that four new ore categories, or domains, could yield the optimum process results with respect to product grades and recoveries.
