  • The Extension Hill Magnetite Project is located in the Mount Gibson Ranges, adjacent to the Great Northern Highway, 280km south east of Geraldton, 375 km north of Perth and is Asia Iron Australia's most advanced project.
  • Asia Iron Australia acknowledges the Badimia People as the traditional land owners.
  • Extension Hill has been explored for iron ore since 1962, when the magnetite potential was recognized.
  • Water will be obtained from the Tathra aquifer, and slurry water returned to site for reuse
  • The project configuration that has received Federal and State Environmental approvals allows:
    • 1 billion tonne open pit
    • 10 million tonne per annum magnetite concentrate production rate
    • Open Pit Mine
    • Ore Processing Plant, Concentrator, Site Infrastructure and Services
    • Slurry, Gas and Water Supply Pipelines
    • Filter plant, Product storage and Ship loading at Geraldton
    • 330 kV Power Transmission Line
  • The project is located in an area of high biodiversity. It is has a multi billion tonne resource potential that will support expansion well beyond the current approved project configuration.
